Get Lost: 03 Sri Lanka
You know that feeling when you've stayed somewhere too long? I often have that feeling having stayed in the same place too long. Most people wait all week for Friday, all year for Summer, all life for happiness...I travel!
Some like to call me a gypsy but for me I believe that there are no statute of limitations on starting over or discovering something new. Routine is the enemy of time; it makes it fly by. Before each trip I'm like a phoenix, feeling like I'm slowing dying from the routine of everyday life and longing to get out and travel so that i can spread my wings again. I want to be aware of every day I'm alive....I want to make it to 85 and be exhausted because I have been alive and reborn every single day. So I say get out there! Be ashes. Burn down. Resurrect and fly!
In February of this year I burnt down and flew to Sri Lanka, the golden tear drop in the Indian Ocean. What a place to come to life again! It is like no other place I've been in the world. A smiling sun all year round, golden beaches, ancient cities & a magical stillness where there seems to be no time. It is Ceylon...
