Print Design: 01 Moroc & Roll Tie Dye

Our original Moroc & Roll Tie Dye print on eco-recycled nylon is a brush stroke print mimicking seaweed translated as traditional hand made tie dye. At Anve we feel strongly in a deeper social responsibility and it was the use of recycled raw materials matched with a reduction of wastes that led us to use Econyl® based fabrics. Their nylon utilizes discarded fishing nets and recycles them back into reusable nylon. Looking at algae patterns to inspire our tie dye felt like the perfect match!

On our research trip to Morocco we were also inspired by all the women artisans weaving fabrics for their families and the mix and match element of prints seen on the Berber tents everywhere. The Moroc & Roll Tie Dye print was created in black & white to work as a base print that you could mix and match with any other prints in the collection and therefor the first print that we are launching. Check out some of the inspiration images below!

"I really don't know what it is that all of us are so committed to the sea, except that I think it's because in addition to the fact that the sea changes, and the light changes, it's because we all came from the sea. And it is interesting biological fact that all of us have in our veins the exact same percentage of salt in our blood that exists in the ocean, and, therefore, we have salt in our blood, in our sweat, in our tears. And we we go back to the sea- whether it is to sail or to watch it- we are going back to whence we came." - John F. Kennedy
